About Tough Tails Equine..
Every horse has a story to tell. My job is to help you understand it.
My Philosophy..
One of the greatest lessons horses have taught me is that what we see on the outside is often only part of the story.
A horse that's stiff in one direction, struggles with a lead change, won't build topline, or seems uncomfortable isn't simply "being difficult." Their body is often communicating compensation, imbalance, or stress.
That's why my approach looks beyond the obvious.
Through bodywork, PEMF therapy, and functional nutrition, I work to better understand how the entire horse is functioning so we can support lasting comfort, movement, recovery, and overall wellness.
Because every horse deserves care that's as individual as they are.
My Story..
Meet Hayley Russo, Founder of Tough Tails Equine LLC.
I've loved horses for as long as I can remember, but my passion for equine wellness truly began when I started asking a different questions.
Instead of asking:
"How do we fix this symptom?"
I started asking:
"Why is this happening in the first place?"
That curiosity led me to study equine bodywork, fascia, movement, recovery, and functional nutrition, allowing me to support horses through a more complete and individualized approach.
Today I have the privilege of working with horses of all ages and disciplines—from competitive performance horses to beloved trail partners—helping owners better understand what their horse's body is communicating.
Whether you're looking to improve performance, support recovery, or simply help your horse feel their very best, I'd love to be part of your horse's wellness journey.
The Horse Who Started It All
Louise has been my greatest teacher.
She taught me that meaningful change doesn't come from chasing symptoms—it comes from understanding the whole horse.
She continues to remind me every day that patience, curiosity, and individualized care are the foundation of lasting wellness.
That philosophy is at the heart of every horse I have the privilege of working with.

Why Tough Tails?
The Tough Tails Difference:
At Tough Tails Equine, I don't believe in one-size-fits-all care.
Every session is built around the horse standing in front of me.
That means evaluating:
✓ Movement
✓ Compensation patterns
✓ Muscular tension
✓ Recovery
✓ Nutritional health
✓ Individual goals
My goal isn't simply to help horses feel better today.
It's to help owners better understand their horse's body so they can continue supporting their health long after our session ends.
